Random: Japanese Orchestra Performs 20-Second Mario Theme To Promote Good Hand Washing

If you’re looking for an inspirational piece of music to wash your hands to, this’ll certainly do the trick.

The New Japan BGM Philharmonic Orchestra, known for being the first professional Japanese video game music orchestra, has uploaded a performance of the classic Super Mario theme tune to promote good hand hygiene. As you may well have guessed, the video follows current coronavirus guidelines which say that you should wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds.

If you start the piece before washing your hands, you should make sure to keep washing until at least the Overworld Theme has ended (which is roughly 20 seconds in). By the time the Course Clear Fanfare has ended, you’ll have been going for around 30 seconds.

Of course, in addition to washing your hands to the Mario theme, it’s recommended that you keep up to date with safety precautions via official, trusted sources for your area. Still, if you can incorporate some Mario into your current safety measures, then it’s even better, right?

Stay safe and well, folks. We hope you’re all doing good.
