Nintendo released its final major update for Super Mario Maker 2 earlier this year in April. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s completely stopped supporting the game, though. It still plans to release minor updates to further polish the experience and the first update since 3.0.0 is now available.
According to Nintendo’s support page, version 3.0.1 deals with a Ninji Speedrun exploit. Apart from this, it also fixes some other issues to make the experience more enjoyable, but no extra information is provided. Here are the full patch notes:
Ver. 3.0.1 (Released July 14, 2020)
- When the player opens the pause menu while playing Ninji Speedruns, they will not be able to perform any actions for a certain period after closing the pause menu.
- Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
As usual, if you update to the latest version of the game, you’ll no longer be able to play with those who are using Version 3.0.0, or earlier. Have you downloaded the latest update for Super Mario Maker 2? Notice anything else? Tell us below.
