Japan: Ring Fit Adventure and Animal Crossing: New Horizons receive CEDEC Awards

The CESA has today announced the winners of the annual CEDEC Awards 2020. This year there were five different categories and those were, Excellency Award for Engineering, Excellency Award for Game Design, Excellency Award for Sound, Excellency Award for Visual Arts, and a Special Award. Nintendo’s Ring Fit Adventure team received the Excellency Award for Game Design and the Animal Crossing: New Horizons team received the Excellency Award for Visual Arts. Here’s the five winners of each category:

Excellency Award for Engineering

  • Capcom for Resident Evil 2019 and the development team behind the Resident Evil Engine

Excellency Award for Game Design

  • The team behind Ring Fit Adventure

Excellency Award for Sound

  • The Final Fantasy VII Remake team

Excellency Award for Visual Arts

  • Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Special Award

  •  Hideo Kojima
